I had the pleasure of staying here before my departure back to Canada after a hunt in RSA. This place is comfortable, secure and very modern. The food was exceptional. I was very appreciative of the care and attention Amor provided to me during my stay and I would not stay anywhere else in my planned future visits to Africa.

My recent visit to South Africa started with a stay at the Lamorie lodging. This is a wonderful place to stay if you’re visiting Johannesburg. The lodging was clean, modern and very homey . The food was fantastic and our host Amor couldn’t have been more accommodating for our needs which included pickup to and from the airport, sightseeing guide, chauffeur, and much, much more. My family and I stayed at the Lamorie for a total of three nights. One night and full day before our safari and two nights after our safari with two full days.

This stay was not only the best experience we had on the trip; the staff at Lamorie has since become our friends. Taking us on tours and feeding us the most delicious meals was just the cherry on top of an amazing stay. The guest house is only about a 10 minute drive to and from the airport which is so convenient both for late arrivals as well as early departure.The hospitality, security and cleanliness is most important to my family and I when staying somewhere abroad. Lamorie exceeded our expectations on every level.

We will definitely be planning our trips through the Lamorie guest house again when we return to South Africa.

After a once in a lifetime adventure with Wild Wildebeest Safaris it was time to go home. Unfortunately the time between flights was over 12 hours. Fortunately the President of Phasa told us about Amor and Lamorie. It was incredible to be picked up from the airport, brought to a fabulous and cozy gated neighborhood where we were presented with a gourmet breakfast and shown to a beautifully decorated cottage, for lack of a better description, to rest and clean up before the long flight back to the States.

When it was time, Amor brought us back to the airport and stayed with us until she could go no further without a ticket. The care that she provided us was so friendly and professional, it was refreshing to be around someone who loved what she was doing!

Next time we are in Johannesburg we will definitely stay a few extra days to thoroughly experience all that Lamorie has to offer!

Meeting Amor was like seeing your long lost friend. This a wonderful place to stay. It is extremely neat and clean and very nicely appointed and oh my gosh the food is very good so if you are flying in…skip the airline food! We will be going back!

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is close to the airport and after a very long flight the guesthouse felt like arriving at your best friends very nicely appointed home with your own private accommodation. The hospitality is great and the food was really good so make sure you have an appetite! Lamorie Guesthouse is a “real find.”

Lamorie was the perfect stay to start off our hunting trip. Amor personally picked us up at the airport and had a wonderful meal waiting at our stay. Very clean and accommodating. Will stay here again! A 5 star stay!

It was the most beautiful place I have seen in a very long time. It was peaceful and in a very safe area. Our host Amor was very friendly and accommodating upon arrival. I would recommend this place anytime.

I’m a stickler for cleanliness, and Amor’s place checked off all of the boxes! Her communication was prompt, and the hospitality was warm. I had a very brief stay and it was just what I needed. It is better than any of the hotels I’ve stayed at by the airport, worth every rand, and the bed was super cozy! Looking forward to returning

Perfect for an airport layover! Great value, Amor was super accommodating.

I’ve used Amor’s place twice as it is the perfect location for a stay over close to the airport. Both times I had early flights, and it is only 10 minutes from OR Tambo Airport. Amor is easy to communicate with and the check in and check out are super easy. Lots of care has been taken with the furnishing of the apartment. It’s perfect for an overnight stay close to the airport. I would definitely recommend Amor’s place.
